the FIRST WOMAN to parachute from an airplane and the PERSON who invented the rip cord in mid-air to save her life!
Emma and the Civil Warrior
I love visiting elementary schools for an hour-long presentation on Emma and the Civil Warrior.
This novel is particularly applicable to the study of North Carolina and/or United States history during the Civil War period in fourth and fifth grade classrooms.
